'No to Drugs'


The human chain formed in the capital city on November 1, Kerala Piravi Day, marked the end of the first phase of the State government’s ‘No to drugs’ campaign to create a public defence against substance abuse. The human chain started by 4 in the evening and consisted of students and teachers from the schools and colleges of the city, Kudumbashree members, Officials and Ministers. There was an anti-drug pledge taken by everybody who were the links of the chain and a symbolic burning of the narcotic substances. Caps printed 'No To Drugs' on them were distributed by Kerala Road Safety Authority. We joined the chain at Palayam and did our first part in the declaration of State's war against drugs.
