Teacher's Day - A Celebration Delayed, Yet Upright

I felt happy that the Teacher's day celebration of the year was postponed and I could attend and enjoy it thoroughly, right at the beginning of my GCTE life with neither the pressure of academics nor that of organizing the event. Everyone gathered in the seminar hall for an event that proceeded so unpredictably. From 'absolute model teachers who had a lifelong influence over them' and 'the efficient teachers among their peer group', student teachers shared their experiences through the years and even attempted imitating the body language of teachers, which in turn radiated a subjective vibe.
Titles such as 'Smile of GCTE', 'Lion of GCTE', 'Progressive Face of GCTE' etc. were given to the teachers and they crowned the student teacher who compered the event as 'Hard skin of GCTE', owing to his unhesitant nature. The candles lighted amidst the programme showcased how important and crucial is the role played by every single teacher in the development of a child and the society.
